LITTLE GLADE MILLPONS
Little Glade Mill Pond at milepost 230.1 features a delightful pond
near an old turbine-type mill creating a scenic view. The
water is smooth as glass, and a picnic area makes this a restful
stop. Air Bellows Gap at milepost 237.1 is designated as the Crest
of the Blue Ridge. The spectacular vista includes a 180-degree view
of the valley below chock full of Christmas trees. The rich green of
the tree farms stands out in a patchwork of patterns. Hawks soar on
the updrafts of this windy gap and rich autumn colors turn this into
a leaf looker’s paradise!
