LINVILLE RIVER BRIDGE TRAIL

The Linville River Bridge Trail is located at Blue Ridge Parkway mile marker number 316.5. Traveling north on the Blue Ridge Parkway, take a left toward the Linville Picnic Area and then another left before entering the picnic area. The trail is located at the far end of the Linville River Parking Area.

There are plenty of picnic tables, however you'll want to get here early because at peak hours you'll be hard pressed to find an empty one. In addition to picnic tables, you will also find rest rooms and water fountains.

This is one of the Blue Ridge Parkway's largest stone arch bridges. Traveling above on the Blue Ridge Parkway, you would probably never even know you were passing over one of the Parkway's most majestic bridges.
